I was going through old boxes looking for my passport and I came across this Independence Day pass. I’m sure it was for one of the event premiere parties from when I worked for the Movie Director in Hollywood.
Here’s what I learned from working on a blockbuster and alongside a world renowned movie director:
- When you have a dream, even it feels too big, go for it anyway and allow people around you to help you get it done.
- As a leader, only ask others to do what you are willing to do yourself.
- As a leader, be the first one to show up and the last one to leave.
- When conflict raises it ugly head amongst the tribe, give advice but do not flame the fire nor gossip about the situation.
- Stand strong in your vision, and, even when it seems that the entire world is against you, don’t lose sight of that vision.
