In response to her readers’ interest in her best-selling book, Lean In: Women, Work and the Will to Lead, Sheryl formed an organization that aims to build networks of support for women who are driven to pursue their dreams. In these groups, women can benefit from a community that supports woman drive to develop her strengths to their full potential. From building their self-confidence to developing the characteristics of being a leader, every woman has the capability when she leans into her social connections while focusing on meeting her goals.
A Mother’s Influence
Sheryl Sandberg may be the COO of the largest social networking site in the world and a best-selling author, but she still has not forgotten her roots. Throughout her career, Sheryl credits her mother with being the inspiration behind every decision she makes. Her mother’s decision to drop out of a Ph.D. program when she was pregnant with Sheryl has taught her that there can be many different definitions of success. Whatever a No. 113 Woman’s career aspirations may be, as long as she leans into her family and friends, she will always be able to reach her goals.
